Boulder hits 100º

bristlecone

So, its been 6 weeks since rotator cuff surgery and I have been slowly gaining back the use of my left arm, and I mean slow, painfully slow. In P/T I am started to do some strengthening exercises with thera-bands and of course I over did it in true Levensaler form. Today I am so sore I can barely lift my arm up to the keyboard.

Anyway, enough of that! Boulder has been reaching close to 100 degrees during the last few weeks so I have been escaping to higher elevations on the weekends. I have started to explore places in Colorado that I haven’t seen before. The first on my list was the Rocky Mountain Bristlecone Pine scenic area, which sits on the east shoulder of Mt. Bross high above the small town of Alma, CO. I highly recommend visiting. If you go at sunrise or sunset you’re likely to have the place all to yourself.

Here is a link to photos from the trip.
